What is this website?

Cruise-OSA.com is a community for like-minded individuals who have a primary interest in modifying their cars and bikes. Consisting of a discussion forum and event calendar, the site allows them to communicate with each other and find out when new events are happening so that they can show off their pride and joys.

You mean it's a forum for boy and girl racers?

No. One of the goals of Cruise-OSA.com is to correct the common misconception that the cruising scene is full of 17 year old idiots who drive around the streets in their crappy little cars at high speeds causing mayhem and danger to everyone around them.

Some of our members spend thousands of pounds on modifying their cars and would not dream of risking their own property by driving like an idiot, let alone the lives of those around them. They modify their cars and bikes not to cause trouble, but for the sake of creating something unique that they can be proud of. Unfortunately there are a number of individuals on our roads who wish to tarnish the reputation of more responsible cruisers and sadly they are the ones who get all the attention from the press - we want to put this right, by showing the general public that cruisers and owners of modified vehicles are NOT a danger, are NOT out to cause trouble and are just normal people with a common interest.

Do you all meet up in car parks and other public places? You know that's illegal right?

Yes we do, and technically yes it is. Congregating in a public space can be seen by the general public as loitering with intent, but we want to change that - we feel that we as responsible cruisers are tarnished with a reputation that only a few deserve, and have the right to meet to celebrate a common interest. We are NOT out to cause trouble.

Cruise-OSA.com DOES organise meetings between many cruisers and modified car owners, sometimes even organising larger events between other websites and their members too. However under no circumstance do we encourage or condone ANY anti-social or illegal behaviour whatsoever, and make this abundantly clear from the outset to participants on this website. Anyone found behaving in this manner is solely responsible for their own actions and we actively seek to prevent this from happening by controlling who we accept as a member into this community. Anyone subsequently deemed to be partaking in such behaviour will be banned from this website.

But what's the point? It's a bit sad and boring really isn't it?

You're obviously not into the scene then - we find it extremely rewarding, creative and enjoyable in much the same way as some people enjoy spending a fortune in the pub every night, or joining a karate club. This is our interest, our passion - we get to meet loads of new friends with the same interests as ourselves, we travel up and down the UK to shows, meeting even more people and seeing their kick-ass creations.

Boring? Well, you can always sit in and watch Coronation Street with a nice bowl of cornflakes on a Saturday night
